A little about me...

     Since you have entrusted us with your children this year, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.

I was born here in Columbus, Ga. I am a daughter of a minister, so I have lived in many small South Georgia towns. I moved back here in High School (11th grade) and met the "Man of my dreams." We will be married 32 years in December. We have three children. One that graduated from the University of Georgia, (Go Dawgs!) who is married and is working at the Chick fil a corporate office in Atlanta and just had my first grandchild in January. (cutest baby ever!) Our middle child, daughter, works and lives here in Columbus and our youngest, boy, also lives and works here in Columbus.

     I went to LaGrange College and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood in 1987. I also received a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood from Columbus State. I also have my gifted endorsement. I am one of the few teachers who have been here since the school opened.

     I have taught Pre-Kindergarten, second and third grade but the majority of my experience has been in the Kindergarten classroom. I love to see their faces when they have mastered a skill. They are so eager and filled with a love for learning. I believe that ALL STUDENTS CAN LEARN! We as teachers must find the way they learn best and "fill them full."
